I’m Having Such A Good Time

26 Jul

Notice how sun is mentioned first.

So…I’m actually doing something I was looking forward to (today’s topic) right now, I’m visiting my family in Bakersfield. I got my teeth cleaned, hung out with my A.P. Biology teacher from high school (adults have always loved me!), took a nap and got a HUGE snow cone with Smaptie. I can be pretty confident in saying my day was better than your’s. Tomorrow I am spending time with my Scottish Granny and going to lunch with some of her friends from the D.B.E. (Daughters of the British Empire.) Basically a day full of listening to old ladies bitch, which I find amusing.

I can't say that I would have ever thought up a script for a hockey playing penguin.

I always look forward to going to my writing group each week. Mostly because I really enjoy the feedback I receive from the people in the group and partly because it’s my day off and I’m glad not to be surrounded by screaming children and olive oil.  I definitely look forward to being paid to write instead of just doing it for free. All in due time I suppose, but the sooner the better. It just seems like an even greater up hill battle because all people want from women is smut and I just want to make people laugh. Oh well, at least I’ll have a nice ass from all that uphill climbing! Silver lining!

ALWAYS looking forward to this event.

Of course, I am looking forward to the TCM Film Festival 2012. I am beyond looking forward to it, I am super stoked! That festival is the closest to heaven that I can get right now… April 2012 can’t get here fast enough. TCM hasn’t announced the date, the theme, the movies, nothing but I’ve already started saving for it.

I would rock those glasses now.

And lastly, I look forward to becoming what I am on the inside, an awesome old lady. I want to wear sequined fanny packs, loads of jewelry, talk inappropriately to young men and tell people what to do. I can’t wait to be super ancient.

I would also look forward to Freddie Mercury making a supersonic woman of me. Whatever that is, I’m game to try.

Those signs greeted you as you entered town from the north or south starting in the mid to late 1960s. By 1983 the signs were considered more trouble than they were worth, and the merchants association decided not to renovate them. Both signs were sold for $1,500.

The signs were stored for a short while, one in Bakersfield and one in Fresno. In 1999 Buck Owens inquired about the whereabouts of the signs presumably to add them to the Crystal Palace grounds but they had already disappeared: One was destroyed in a wind storm and the other stored in Fresno had been scrapped.

    You are welcome.

Furthermore, I believe your “gaydar” continues to be disengaged. Mr. Mercury sings, ” I wanna make a supersonic MAN of you.” The song has a fun, good beat and it’s fun to sing along with. I’ll give it an 8.

I stand corrected. Supersonic woman 1st then supersonic man. You are correct. I was wrong. Let’s not let this happen again.
