Freak Out

10 Aug

What stress looks like to me.

So…Day 28’s topic is all about what stresses me out. Since I just got home from work, I’ll say that getting quadruple sat is definitely on the list. What getting quadruple sat means is getting 4 tables at once while lying to yourself and thinking that you will give them all good service. Never going to happen.

I hate car stuff.

Any kind of car troubles, I can not handle it. Do I need to spend the $700 to fix it, or can it go a while without it? Is the mechanic’s word trustworthy? Or is he yanking me around because he knows I’m a girl that doesn’t know crap about cars?

I'ma NOT-A gonna vamp you

Trying to act feminine, my never ending stressor. Stroking a guy’s ego, giggling stupidly at his lame attempt at telling a little joke and not being completely blunt…these are all things I am no good at. Watching me do this is like watching a T-Rex try to ride a bike, hilarious if you’re a spectator, but an epic fail.

Two of my favorite women…who also couldn’t sing to save their lives.

Dealing with bitchy girls. I don’t have many girl friends because most girls are freakin’ nut jobs. Catty, back stabby and super dramatic. I don’t have the energy to deal with that. If you look like crap, I’d rather just tell you to your face and get on with my day.

Writing physical comedy sketches. Sometimes they’re funny, sometimes it’s just a bunch of words being read in absolute silence, which is a comedienne’s least favorite sound.

I’m sure Lucille Ball rarely ever heard that sound. She would’ve been 100 on August 6th. I don’t stress out trying to be as good as her because nobody ever could be and the media needs to stop making modern day comparisons. She’s one of a kind and that’s that.

    Please add to your list:
    – group projects
    – deadlines
    – punctuality
    – your mother raising her voice to you or in general (ear reaction)
    – court appearances

Hope this hasn’t revealed too much.
